Guests in their summer finery converged on the Roof Terrace of the
welcoming Ham Yard Hotel, in the centre of London’s theatre-land, for the
launch of the Royal Ascot Village Enclosure. Alexandra Bertram, Consumer
PR Manager at Ascot Racecourse, welcomed guests to the Royal Ascot launch, as
they were served with Moët & Chandon Champagne and ‘Royal Ascot Blush’
cocktails.
The Village Enclosure was first launched in 2017, and is located on the inside
of the track, facing Ascot’s iconic Grandstand. It has a character and
style all its own, with pop-up and al fresco dining, bars and live music.
Pips & Henri, the DJ duo, have been confirmed as one of the music acts for
2019, and they were manning the decks at the Launch Party. They were
followed by another DJ duo confirmed for the Village Enclosure, The Lallas,
actress Laura Pradelska taking a break from Game of Thrones and Lara Fraser,
with the theme ‘school disco meets Sloane Square’.
Model of the moment Rosie Tapner has recently been announced as the Royal Ascot
Fashion Commentator, and she discussed fashion with guests, as they posed on
the merry-go-round horses.
