Chelsea Flower Show

 

Celebrities, broadcasters, and garden enthusiasts descended on the first day preview of the unique Chelsea Flower Show in London.  It was a scene of beautifully designed gardens full of interesting and colourful plants.

 

The first day is traditionally open to the press and invited guests and the Royal Hospital grounds were alive with garden loving celebrities including Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster. However garden enthusiast Ringo Starr was keeping a low profile as last year he was mobbed while making a photocall.

 

Alan Titchmarsh, Rachel de Thame and Andy Sturgeon were recording TV coverage throughout the week.
